Privacy policy
Effective date: July 29, 2026
Behavioral Health Services, LLC ("the practice," "we") is the psychology practice of Dr. Emily Wald, located at 1390 S Dixie Hwy, Suite 1305, Coral Gables, FL 33146. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the website only. Health information shared in the course of care is protected health information and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes your HIPAA rights in detail.
The short version
This website was built to collect as little as possible. It has no user accounts, sets no advertising or analytics cookies, runs no visitor tracking or social media pixels, and does not sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone for marketing. The contact form does not store anything on the site; it opens an email in your own mail app that you choose whether to send.
Information the website collects
Technical logs. Like nearly all websites, the server that hosts these pages keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs exist for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. They are maintained by our hosting provider, are not joined with any other data, and are not used to identify or profile visitors.
Information you choose to send. The "Send request" button opens your own email application with your request pre-written, addressed to Dremilywald@waldbhs.com. Nothing is transmitted or stored by the website itself, and nothing is sent unless you press send in your own mail app. If you send an inquiry, it is received by the practice, treated as confidential, and used only to respond to you and, if you begin care, to support your intake. Inquiry emails are retained and protected consistent with the practice's record-keeping obligations.
Do Not Track. The site does not track visitors, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to disable.
A note about email and emergencies
Ordinary email is not a fully secure medium. Include only the information you are comfortable sending, and if you prefer, you can simply request a call back and share details by phone at (305) 431-0002. Never use email or this website for urgent or emergency situations. If you or your child is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
Third-party services
The site uses three limited third-party services. Its typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers when a page loads and Google receives the technical request data (such as your IP address) that any web request involves. The office location is shown in an embedded Google Maps frame on the home and contact pages, which loads from Google as soon as one of those pages opens and gives Google that same technical request data, including your IP address, without any action on your part. The "Get directions" link opens Google Maps in a new context; external sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and this policy stops where those sites begin. The same applies to the government resources linked from our Good Faith Estimate page.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so pages you view and links you follow on the site are encrypted in transit. No security is absolute, which is one more reason the site is designed to store nothing about you.
Children's privacy
This website is written for parents, guardians, and adult clients. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Information about child clients is collected only in the course of care, with parent or guardian involvement, under the protections described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Your choices and rights
You can browse this site without providing any information at all. You can contact us to ask what information, if any, we hold from your website inquiry and to request its correction or deletion, subject to records we are required to keep. Rights regarding health information created in care are described in the Notice of Privacy Practices.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted plainly at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
